👨‍🚀 Meet the Gaganyaan Astronauts

In a historic announcement, ISRO introduced the four Indian Air Force officers selected for the Gaganyaan mission. These highly trained test pilots have undergone extensive training in Russia and are continuing mission-specific preparations in India.

Group Captain Prasanth B. Nair

A distinguished fighter pilot and test pilot from the Indian Air Force, known for his precision flying and operational experience.

Group Captain Angad Pratap

A decorated IAF pilot and one of the mission’s lead candidates. Trained extensively in Russia and part of the first astronaut team.

Group Captain Ajit Krishnan

A technical expert with vast experience in aircraft systems and safety, contributing to the Gaganyaan mission’s critical operations.

Wing Commander Shubanshu Shukla

Youngest among the selected team, Shukla is known for adaptability and endurance, and is trained in both Russian and Indian modules.
