π Ground Support & Infrastructure
The Gaganyaan mission is supported by a robust network of ground infrastructure designed to ensure safety, coordination, and real-time monitoring during all phases of the mission. ISRO has partnered with key agencies to strengthen every aspect of launch readiness, mission control, and recovery.
π Launch Support
- Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota: Main launch complex with upgraded facilities for human-rated LVM3 missions.
- Crew Readiness Facilities: Includes astronaut pre-boarding check rooms, health monitoring, and secure transportation.
- Crew Emergency Response Systems: On-ground escape routes, high-speed evacuation vehicles, and rescue protocols.
π§ Mission Control & Tracking
- ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC): Central hub for monitoring spacecraft systems, telemetry data, and ground commands.
- Remote Tracking Stations: Spread across India and abroad (via international collaboration) to ensure global coverage and real-time updates.
- Voice & Video Uplink: Two-way communication links with astronauts for health, mission updates, and remote instructions.
π Recovery & Sea-Based Support
